| Job Title : Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology |
| General Summary of duties : Provides health care to patients acting as a mid-level clinician in a free-standing cardiology multi-specialty medical practice following established standards and practices. Works in a dependent relationship with a supervising physician to provide comprehensive medical care to patients. The major services provided by the ARNP include evaluation, monitoring, diagnostics, Therapeutics, counseling and referral. Reports to work fifteen minutes to prior to scheduled patient appointments. Nurse Practitioner will work in a progressive, interventional cardiology practice with state of the art equipment. Practice active with Pacemaker Clinic, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac PET/CT, CTA & Ultrasound department. Individual must have Master's degree with good cardiac background Individual would be expected to play an integral role in all services. Practice also involved with several research programs. |

Duties :

Education : Graduate of an accredited university. Successful
completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program. Certificate/License: Possession of a State Registered Nurse license/ ARNP certification. |
| Experience : 2 years preferred in a cardiac environment. |

Performance Requirements : Knowledge, skills & Abilities: Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice and medical care to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in applying and modifying the principles. methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. Skill in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing report and responding to correspondence. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communication clearly. |
| Typical Physical Demands : Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to communicable disease and bodily fluids. Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours. |
